About: Harini Sivakumar

Harini Sivakumar is the Founder of Soapworks, a Delhi based social enterprise that is focused on eliminating the use of chemical laden, personal care products from our lives. Originally from Chennai and an MBA in Retail Management, Harini found inspiration from the challenges faced by two very important people in her life – her son who was born with Down’s syndrome and her mother who succumbed to Cancer at a young age of 52. She put her grief into constructive action to study major causes of illnesses and discovered that exposure to Toxins was a key cause of many ailments today. At Soapworks, Harini ensures that all her ingredients 100% natural & handmade, and actively promotes a campaign called Read the Label.
